4月2日，四川西昌森林火灾19位英雄遇难的第3天，《紧急呼叫》探访遇难事发地，在距离蔡家沟水库东北方向1公里左右，发现疑似遇难扑火队员所用的对讲机、衣服、雨伞等物品，在山顶树木荒草几乎全被烧光，扑火队员用的鼓风机被烧化，现场让人泪目。3月31日1时20分，宁南县专业扑火队在灭火中致18名扑火队员和1名向导牺牲，3名队员负伤。 当地已为19名牺牲英雄，启动烈士申报程序。
