When it comes to buying daily necessities, some people prefer to shop in grocery stores now and then to gather all the things they need, while others prefer to go to a supermarket and buy everything all at once. Which do you prefer and why?

First, shopping in supermarkets saves me lots of time, because supermarkets can provide many kinds of products, so I can buy all the things together. But grocery stores only provide certain kinds of products. So, I have to drive to different stores to buy the things I need.

Unlike/Instead of/as…as…

Unlike video or computer games, board games and card games don’t need electronic devices of high performance rating.

Unlike video or computer games that are often limited by internet connections, board games and card games don’t have too many requirements regarding the devices.

It’s adj. for sb. to do sth./…make it adj. for sb. to do sth.

Shop in a supermarket is very convenient. 只有非谓语to do/doing sth.

It’s pretty convenient to go shopping in a supermarket.

Supermarkets usually have lots of parking spots, which make it much easier for customers to park their cars.

Well, I’m more like a supermarket type of person. First, it’s super time-saving to shop in supermarkets. Unlike grocery stores that only sell particular kinda goods, supermarkets provide a great variety of products. Thus, I can purchase everything on my shopping list all at a time instead of driving all the way to each grocery store just to pick up a thing or two. Plus, supermarkets provide more conveniences like parking lots. Grocery stores normally don’t offer as many parking spots as Costco or Walmart usually have, which makes it's quite troublesome for customers like me to park cars.

It is + adj.+ (for somebody) +to do sth.;Unlike引导的一个对比,帮助第一个论点展开;Instead of记得要加名词或名词形式动词;as...as也是在比较两者,第一个as后边是名词,第二个as后边是从句;最后秀出which引导的非限制性定语从句。
